Note For The Day 22

Our strengths make up for our weaknesses.

Our strengths can also be our weaknesses.

I was always conscious about my verbal communication skill and I even say it as a weakness of mine during job interviews. I can’t seem to be articulate and form cohesive sentences without mumbling or even stuttering. I sometimes get too nervous when people stare at me while speaking maybe this is also the reason why I tend to be “quiet”. Anyways, I explain myself well with my writing skill which makes up for my lack of verbal skill.

I also tend to be over-analytical sometimes, I see this trait of mine as a strength because it helps me with my planning & decision making but sometimes this over analyzing can turn into overthinking which we all know is not that healthy. This is why sometimes overusing our strengths can also turn into one our weaknesses.

It’s so amazing to think that everything about us— the weaknesses and the strengths are needed to be just balanced. We lack on one aspect but we have enough of another aspect to make it work. We have imperfections but we also have those things that cancel out those imperfections. There are some people who don’t excel in school and academics but they are the most creative people. Some people are not that wealthy but are blessed with a happy family. And there are those who are wealthy but living alone in a big mansion which shows that having too much or doing too much could also make us weak.

Know your strengths and weaknesses, learn how to make them both work in your advantage.

Note For The Day 21

Stop for a while and be present.

We often get lost in planning our future and that’s okay but once in a while stop for a second and drop everything that you are doing and be present. If you’re with your family right now, drop your phone and take it all in, cherish that moment for a second. Acknowledge what you have in front of you. We are all doing things right now because of what’s ahead and we barely enjoy what we already have. Be in the moment because time flies so fast, you may not have what you have right now in the future.

To All The Ones Who Aren’t Good Enough

We’re living in a world where competition is high and we compare ourselves with each other. Even though each and everyone of us is unique in our own ways, we couldn’t help ourselves to think if we’re better than them. Often times we’ll find ourselves in situation where we’re faced with the ugly truth— we’re just not good enough.

There’s always going to be someone better than us in this world but if you want to be the best you have to put in work and dedication. Being the best takes time, and it also takes a lot of failures. There are a lot of rejections along the way but not being good enough is not a sign of being a failure, it is a phase from becoming the best.

If we ever go back to our past failures and rejections, we now know better. We are not good enough back then because we didn’t have the experience and wisdom but if we go back knowing the things we know now, we’re more than good enough back then. We are all born to be good enough, we were just in the wrong place at the wrong time. We just didn’t have all the tools yet at that certain time. We just needed time to gain experience and wisdom.

Note For The Day 20

Life isn’t a race and don’t run when the path is broken. Stop for a while and rebuild the path then go back running at your own pace.

I have seen so many people who are so eager to be successful so fast that they either hurt themselves or hurt others. Never compare yourself to others, we have our own path and some our just lucky enough to get a head start but never let that discourage you nor develop a self-pity. There is no definite timeline of when we should be successful. Ignore those posts you see on social media about “at this age you should have this and that”, just keep grinding towards your goals and focus on your own path. Eventually, everything will turn out fine.

Millions of words to describe a feeling, to describe thoughts, and to describe pain. But the power of words is indescribable that it can be terrifying. The strength in it can either build you up or tear you apart. And the part of how big the damage of words can make is invisible to the naked eye but it’s there, one simple word can damage a person for the rest of their lives. But one simple word can also inspire one person and be better.

Be careful of your words, it’s powerful. Choose how you want to use this power that we all acquire for free.
