TOP 10 UNDERRATED TAYLOR SWIFT SONGS

Is listening to Taylor Swift a guilty pleasure? For some maybe but for me I’m not really guilty because you can’t deny that you know at least one Taylor Swift song and you sing to it at the top of your lungs inside your car.

A few weeks ago Taylor Swift returned on Spotify and putting back all her albums on the streaming site which I was basically overjoyed because I use Spotify to listen to music because it saves so much space on my phone, now I feel like my playlist on Spotify is complete with her back on it.

So right now I’m going to narrow down 10 underrated Taylor Swift songs even though all of her songs are so good, I’m going to pick only 10 songs that everyone should listen to and Taylor should have released as a single.

1. Jump Then Fall – This song was included in the soundtrack of Valentine’s Day where Taylor starred in.

2. Forever and Always – this version is when you’re mad after the break-up but I recommend you listening to the piano version unfortunately, it’s not on Youtube but here’s a Spotify link. The piano version is more like the stage of grieving in a break-up. You can feel the emotion, the pain of the break-up in this song especially when it comes to the bridge of the song where she sings “back up baby back up”, a perfect song when you feel like being melodramatic about a break-up. I like it when she sings acoustic because it brings out the beauty of her voice even more.

3. Never Grow Up – a very nostalgic song, makes you reminisce about your childhood days and wishing you could go back and just never grow up.

4. Enchanted – every time I hear this song it makes me feel like I’m in a fairytale, such great lyrics. It captures that feeling of a perfect first date, that stage in a relationship where you just can’t wait to meet that person again. I also love the lyric in the bridge “please, don’t be in love with someone else. Please, don’t have somebody waiting on you.”

5. Last Kiss – another melodramatic break-up song but this is for like you want to be in bed all day and dwell on the break up.

6. Treacherous – it’s all about taking risks in love just like the song says “nothing safe is worth the drive”.

7. Stay Stay Stay – this is such a fun song to listen to it’s Christmassy even though it’s not a Christmas song, I just feel a Christmas vibe with the melody lol. The song is really about talking things through and staying in the relationship despite of all the arguments you face.

8. Clean – this is the song that Taylor wrote with Imogen Heap, I just find this song eccentric in terms of the sound you can really hear Imogen Heap in it. The lyrical content is also very relatable especially when you’re in the process of healing from something.

9. How You Get The Girl – another enjoyable music to listen to, just like 22 (that rhymed!)

10. You Are In Love – perfect way to describe love and being in love.

May I also add All Too Well, probably one of my most favorite Taylor Swift song, I already added it to another playlist before so I didn’t include it in here. Well, that’s my top 10 underrated Taylor Swift songs, comment your favorite Taylor Swift song/s 😊.

P. S. Songs from 1989 album are not included in the Youtube playlist, couldn’t find a nice quality vid. Stream the whole Taylor Swift catalog on Spotify though if you like 😊.

This playlist sort of tells “yeah I’m alright, am I?”, it’s like a vibe of life is great and it makes sense but sometimes it’s all of the oppositeβ€” sometimes you’re okay and sometimes you’re not and sometimes you just have to go with the flow. This playlist also tells that sometimes you have that confidence and you believe in yourself but sometimes there’ll be moments where your self-esteem is just not there. It’s being in the middle of being strong and giving up.

WONDER WOMAN | IT IS LOVE THAT CAN TRULY SAVE THE WORLD

I watched Wonder Woman the other day and you know how they say that Marvel are so much better than DC and remember all the bad reviews for Batman vs Superman? Yeah but anyway, I actually enjoyed watching Wonder Woman mainly because of Gal Gadot, I loved her from Fast and the Furious films and I couldn’t think of anyone who’s more fit for the role of Wonder Woman, she’s really perfect for the role and everything that the character represents.

I loved the film too because of how it made me feel more proud of being a woman, seeing those Amazonian fighting and being braver than men and refusing to be told what to do was so empowering.

 Like this scene…

I also loved the message about loveβ€” that love is the only thing that can save the world which is very timely to what is happening in this world right now with all those terror attacks.

Diana wanted to stop the war by killing the God of war which is Ares, she believed that by killing him, it would stop all the war that is happening but as she thought that she killed him, the violence didn’t stop, she was confused and frustrated because Diana believed that people are good and were just corrupted by Ares. Steve (Chris Pine) explained to her that the bad things that are happening does not rely on one man and maybe that not all people are good, Diana was so upset that she almost gave up on trying to save the world and saying that the world doesn’t deserve (good) people like her and being saved but Steve reminded her that it’s not about “deserve”, it’s about what you believe, this is probably the most used quote right now.

But it’s true, it’s really about what you believe in and it’s not about what you think you deserve or what you think other people deserve, if you believe in goodness and in love stand by it no matter how corrupted this world is. The innocence, the faith in humanity and the pure heart of Diana are the things that everyone of us lack, how everything in her eyes were plain simple. There is a war, stop it. There is someone who needs help, help them. If there’s a problem you initially solve them. Why can’t it be like this? Why can’t we all be like Diana? Do we not believe in goodness and in love anymore? Are we really corrupted by Ares? (some things we all need to think about).

The movie was awesome, I loved it. I loved Gal Gadot and Chris Pine in it, it was empowering and it was funny as well. It was a bit cheesy too because of that “love speech” but love was meant to be cheesy right?

[FAVE] JOHN TUCKER MUST DIE

John Tucker Must Die is a teen flick romantic comedy film released on 2006. This is one of my favorite films and just like A Walk To Remember I can’t really count the number of times I’ve watched this movie.

The story of this film centers around John Tucker obviously and four girls who’s trying to get even with him. Heather, Carrie and Beth are just the few girls John Tucker dates all at the same time but when they found out that John’s juggling them they decided to put him down with the help of Kate, now Kate is an ordinary girl who’s very different from the girls John dates and she knows how John operates with watching him date these three girls in the restaurant she works at and also her mom dates hundreds of this type of guys. But as they thought that they stopped John from all his shenanigans, John broke up with Heather, Carrie and Beth. The girls think they failed because John still gets to break their hearts and for their revenge they planned to break John’s heart through Kate, letting Kate date John and really make him fall in love with her and dump him in the end.

That’s the main story line of the film and what I loved about this film was it showed girl power. Girls from different cliques and had different personalities came together and helped each other because a guy was hustling them and that’s what all girls should do, stop “bitchin” around over a guy, stop that “she’s the girl who he replace me with” sentence when you see your ex with a new girl. This movie showed the problems of girls when they face a guy, how to act, how to impress a guy, how to keep him etc. I guess the biggest lesson of this film is that not everything a girl should do is for a guy because sometimes we become somebody that we are not just to get notice and to feel loved that we forget who we really are. And may I add on that tag line of this film which is “Don’t get mad, get even”, revenge never solves anything it just shows that you haven’t really moved on and you’ll only look like a pathetic person when you do it, when a person treats you bad let the karma do the work it’ll save your time and effort.

This is a movie that every girl needs to watch just like Mean Girls.
